Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? 10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. 25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. 28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. 29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. 30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. 31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

Cary W = "Though the path of God may be difficult, Jesus continually reminds us to not let our hearts worry or be heavy, for He provides the grace, does the work of overcoming, and the inner work of preparing our hearts for heaven.  He makes it simple: believe in Me, the way, the truth and the life."
Deena E = "It's interesting that the word mansions is in the Greek "monē" is translated as an abode, dwelling place and specifically refers to a housing place for the Holy Spirit. Jesus said this as  "
Cary W = "This one verse clarifies that the work of God begins and ends in Jesus; no other name by which we are saved, and no other way to come to the Father."
Cary W = "When we are tempted to think God the Father is different than His Son Jesus, we may fall into fear of His wrath and judgment.  Jesus continually reminds us that He and the Father are one...if you see Jesus, you are also seeing the Father, for it is Him, by His Spirit at work in Christ."
Cary W = "The work of the Father in Jesus is truly amazing, for even though He came forth of divine birth, born of no man, but of the Spirit, yet, for our example, He laid aside His own power and authority, and depended solely on the Spirit of God to lead in all His works and teachings.  He is our example of how we should also walk by dependence on the Holy Spirit."
Cary W = "Jesus knows our weakness of faith, and therefore gives us a precious gift in this verse.  If we ask the Father for anything in Jesus name, it shall be given us, so that God may be glorified in His Son."
Cary W = "Not only does God give us the name of Jesus to pray, but also gives us His very own Spirit to dwell in us as it does in Him, and in His Spirit He will come to us in the quiet chambers of our heart."

Cary W = "Jesus is about to be crucified, then risen to be with the Father, and it may be difficult for some to remain faithful when He is not seen by fleshly eye.  But because He gives us the Holy Spirit, we will continue to see Him, know Him, hear His voice and grow in the presence and knowledge of God within us.To access this grand fellowship of the Spirit, the Father and the Son, we must cling to His words and commands, bind them to our heart and seek to keep them in our ways.  This devotion engenders friendship and love for God, which opens the way for them to pour out their love and make themselves known to us."
Cary W = "Holy Spirit please help us to welcome your Presence here today, that we may be reminded of all the Father spoke and performed in Christ, that our hearts may be continually encouraged and comforted.  Amen."
Cary W = "We need not to look for a man to teach us, for by His Spirit we all may receive the Prophetic Word directly from God Himself."
Jordan W = "In James 1:5 it states, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God". Christ taught that we must be baptized by water and the spirit. The baptism of the spirit is receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, or the Comforter, the third member of the Godhead. As this scripture states, the Holy Ghost can teach us all things, and bring all things to our remembrance, but if God thought we were capable of being taught only by the Holy Ghost and not aided by mortal men and women why would He give us Prophets, Apostles, the Bible or other scripture? Why would Christ himself appoint leaders - His Prophet and Apostles - to organize and administer His church? Those leaders sent letters of correction in New Testament times to the members of the church to correct false doctrine and teach the principles of Christ's gospel. If they had received the Holy Ghost why not just let them learn it all for themselves?I believe it takes a lifetime to learn how the Holy Ghost communicates with us and teaches us. When God spoke to Elijah it was not in the earthquake, but in a still small voice. Even that prophet of God needed tutoring about how the Lord communicates with us. In that vein as we strive to learn how God communicates with us He has placed Prophets and Apostles again on the earth to help teach us, correct misunderstandings, and teach His true doctrine to all that will listen. The modern-day prophet and twelve apostles are found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When a prophet speaks I have the responsibility to receive a confirming witness that what he said is true. That confirming witness is an important part of my path of discipleship. Not only am I trusting the word of the Lord's prophet but it is confirmed as truth to my mind and heart. Each of us had the responsibility to search the scriptures and learn for ourselves the truths of Christ's gospel and as we learn He has provided us with Prophets and Apostles to course correct us when needed and give us additional light and knowledge to help us understand His plan. What a blessing!"
Cary W = "The first thing noticed upon believing in Christ is an unfathomable peace fills the heart and soul.  This peace is so full and divine it removes all fear, heaviness and trouble and opens the way for love to grow and ever be extended to all we encounter."
Sarah Mangum = "The power of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior brings peace from suffering."
