1 Sarah R = "The term "loving-kindness" is a common translation for the Hebrew "chesed" which is used 247 times to describe God in the Old Testament. The closest Greek equivalent in the New Testament is "charis," which in English is usually translated as "grace." Because God is so high and Almighty, and yet knows us by name and cares for us, describing His affection as "loving-kindness" is highly appropriate."
2 Cary W = "Loving kindness is the essence of the Father's heart toward us and all creation. As we meditate upon His love and kindness, we absorb and then release to the world with Him, unconditional and unlimited love to all living beings."
