Shanti Mantras Shanti Mantras are picked up from the Upanishads of the Vedic lore. They are chanted at the beginning of the different rituals and ceremonies. The ultimate benefits of Shanti Mantras include bestowing peace and prosperity to the chanters, all those around listening to it and the world populace at large. They can cool the mind and balance it from within. Reciting shanti mantras before beginning any task can remove the obstacles on the way and pave way for success.   For Ultimate Success: "Om Poornamadah Poornamidam Poornat Poornamudachyate, Poornasya Poornamaadaya Poornamevavashishyate, Om Shantih, Shantih, Shantih"   Meaning: That is full and this is full. Only from the full the full arises. When the full is taken from the full, the full remains full forever. Om Peace, Peace, Peace   To gain clarity of thought and clear off confusions: "Om Asato Maa Sadgamaya, Tamaso Maa Jyotir Gamaya, Mrityor Maa Amritam Gamaya, Om Shantih, Shantih, Shantih" Meaning: On the supreme power! Lead us from unreal to the real, fromk darkness to light and from death to immortality. Om Peace, Peace, Peace.   To invoke the blessings of the gods on our actions: "Om Sham No Mitra Sham Varunah Sham No Bhavatvaryamaa, Sham Na Indro Brihaspatih Sham No Vishnururukramah, Namo Brahmane Namaste Vaayo Tvameva Pratyaksham, Brahmaasi Tvaameva Pratyaksham Brahma Vadishyaami, Rtam Vadishyaami Satyam Vadishyaami, Tanmaamavatu Tadvaktaaramavatu Avatu Maam Avatu Vaktaaram, Om Shantih Shantih Shantih"   Meaning: Om May the eternal forces like Mitra, Varuna, Aryama, Indra and Brihaspati be happy with us and do only what is good to us. May the all pevading Vishnu bless us and do good to us. We pay our respect to Lord Brahma and Lord Vayu so that they do good to us. Oh Lord, you are the Brahman, you are the cosmic order and you are the truth. Be pleased with us and protect us and our teacher together. Om Peace, Peace, Peace.   To promote understanding within the team and enhance productivity: "Om Sahanaa Vavatu Sahanau Bhunaktu Saha Veeryam Karavaavahai Tejasvi Naavadheetamastu Maa Vidvishaavahai Om Shantih Shantih Shantih" Meaning: OM, let us move together in harmony. Let us enjoy together and work together for more productivity. Let our knowledge make us radiant. Let there be no hatred or misunderstanding between us.
