What matters... By Pastor Bobby Schuller "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will." -Romans 12:2 We often treasure too much what people say about us. How many times have you heard someone say something like this? "You should hear what Sarah said about you. Actually, no. You know what? I shouldn't say. I shouldn't." You're thinking, come on, what did she say? "No, I promised I wouldn't say anything." At that point, you'd pretty much pay any amount of money to know. The longer that person holds out on you, the more frustrating it gets. They'll change the subject, and you're thinking, hold on, hold on, go back, what did Sarah say about me exactly? And of course, the longer that goes on, the more you're going to pay strict attention to what Sarah said about you. And when you find out what she said about you, you're going to think about it for several days, maybe weeks if you're as neurotic as I am. However, no matter how curious or how concerned we are about what people say about us, it doesn't matter. What does matter, the only thing that truly matters, is that you're the beloved. You're God's beloved child. Prayer: Dear Lord, The only thing that matters is what you say to me when you say, "You are my beloved child." Amen.
