1 Sara Di Diego = "Baphomet is the goat-headed figure pictured here.  It has been used by the Freemasons in the 19th century and many other occult groups.  Baphomet is most commonly known from Eliphas Levi’s “Dogme et Rituel de la Haute Magie“, which is now a standard reference for modern occultism.  In that version, Baphomet is a symbol of alchemy, as they are a balance in every way.  Between dark and light, male and female.Work Cited:"

The mission of The Satanic Temple is to encourage benevolence and empathy among all people. In addition, we embrace practical common sense and justice. As an organized religion, we feel it is our function to actively provide outreach, to lead by example, and to participate in public affairs wheresoever the issues might benefit from rational, Satanic insights. As Satanists, we all should be guided by our consciences to undertake noble pursuits guided by our individual wills. We believe that this is the hope of all mankind and the highest aspiration of humanity."Learn more:"
3 Sara Di Diego = "This is supposed to symbolize a phallic image and Hermes' Caduceus.  Since Baphomet is usually seen with female breasts, the phallus is supposed represent the androgynous part of Astral Light.  Hermes' Caduceus represents opening the chakra with serpentine powers, otherwise known as Astral Light.Work Cited:"
