O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins because of Thy just punishments, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, Who art all-good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to sin no more and to avoid the near occasions of sin. OR My God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart. In choosing to do wrong and failing to do good, I have sinned against you whom I should love above all things. I firmly intend, with your help, to do penance, to sin no more, and to avoid whatever leads me to sin. Our Savior Jesus Christ suffered and died for us. In his name, my God, have mercy. OR O my God, I am sorry for my sins because I have offended you. I know I should love you above all things. Help me to do penance, to do better, and to avoid anything that might lead me to sin. Amen.

Sarah R = "We should detest sin. Sin should disgust us. We should have a righteous anger about how sin permeates our world. We should do something about it."
Sarah R = "After David was confronted about his sin with Bathsheba (sins which included lust, adultery, and murder), he prayed, "Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight; so you are right in your verdict and justified when you judge" (Psalms 51:4). Although we could argue that David sinned against Bathsheba and her husband, David recognized that all sin is ultimately a sin against God - against God's rule and reign in our lives. It is to God that He had to ask forgiveness and atone for his sin."
Sarah R = "1 Peter 3:18 "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.""
Cary W = "I am sorry.  Please forgive me.   Thank you!  I love you!"
