Adoption into God’s Family God has adopted you into His family and accepted you as His child. Jesus not only saved you from your sins but He restored you to intimate relationship with God the Father. This is a very great gift. The fact that it is free and undeserved makes it hard to accept sometimes. Be convinced by these scriptures that God has adopted you into His family and He guides you with His hand of love. Prayer: Father, I feel so unworthy to be called Your child. I know at times I disappoint You and yet each time I come to You, You receive me like a (son/daughter). I need Your acceptance and love. Thank You for adopting me. Thank You for being a loving Father to me. I accept my adoption into Your family, and I call out to you “Abba” Father – (Daddy). You promised in Your word that You will never leave me or forsake me. You said, “No one can snatch me out of Your hand.” I rest in Your faithfulness. I cling to You like a small child clings to his father or mother. My heart is joyful that I have a Father Who wants me. You have chosen me to be Your child, and You will never reject me. I accept the place You have made for me in Your heart and Your family. Scripture: Roman 8:15 “For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, ‘Abba! Father!'” John 1:12 “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, [even] to those who believe in His name…” Psalms 103:10,12 “He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities…As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.” Luke 15:21-24 “And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight; I am no longer worthy to be called your son. But the father said to his slaves, ‘Quickly bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet; and bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this son of mine was dead, and has come to life again; he was lost, and has been found.’ And they began to be merry.”

1 Cary W = "Daily we pray this prayer, to be reminded of our calling in God, to be chosen to be part of His Household and His Kingdom.  It is God at work in us to will and do His perfect will and forming His Son within our hearts, so that we continually cry out, Abba, Father!"
