#### Psalm 14 ##### For the director of music. Of David. The fool says in his heart,     “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile;     there is no one who does good. The Lord looks down from heaven     on all mankind to see if there are any who understand,     any who seek God. All have turned away, all have become corrupt;     there is no one who does good,     not even one. Do all these evildoers know nothing? They devour my people as though eating bread;     they never call on the Lord. But there they are, overwhelmed with dread,     for God is present in the company of the righteous. You evildoers frustrate the plans of the poor,     but the Lord is their refuge. Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!     When the Lord restores his people,     let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!

1 Sarah R = "There is a growing atheist movement in this country. The Bible talks plainly about how God has made Himself known through creation (consider Psalms 19:1; 97:6; Isaiah 8:3-4; Job 42:2-5; Acts 17:26-28; Romans 1:19,20), but there will always be people who will deny Him. The best witness we can be is to love on these people and show how God is real to us and how He has changed our lives."
2 Katherine Harms = "I see this notion expressed every day by people who believe they can do everything on their own. They actually believe that a human being can imagine and do anything he dreams of. They constantly parrot the mantra that they will go forth and change the whole world. All by themselves. It is no wonder that people who believe they can and must do it all themselves fall apart and resort to drugs. "
3 Sarah R = "See Romans 3 for how Paul talks about this verse and its parallel in Psalms 53:1 in describing how we are all in need of salvation through Jesus Christ."
