1 Sarah R = "Several times in the gospel accounts we see the people amazed at the teaching of Jesus. He taught as one of authority. While the OT prophets would say, "The Lord says..." Jesus said "I say..." He proved His authority through miracles and forgiving sin, and ultimately through death on a cross and a glorious resurrection."
2 Sarah R = "Note the parallel of the theme of "truth" in both the disciple John's gospel and letters to the churches. "
3 Sarah R = "John refers to Jesus not just as the Son of God but as God Himself. Though the disciples never used the word "trinity" (at least not in the writings we have from them) we can see that they did have the belief and doctrine of God and Jesus being equal and being One."
