Sarah R = "Even the fact that we ask these questions about our purpose, the meaning of life, and why we are here, suggests that there are answers. There is an unsettling in our soul, an unsettling that says there is more to life than this, unsettling that leads us to try to fill our hearts with the things of this earth but nothing satisfies. An unsettling that, if we let it, leads us to God."
Sarah R = "Proverbs 3:1-8 (NIV)My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart,2 for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.4 Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.8 This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones."
Cary W = "Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not upon your own understanding; acknowledge Him in all your ways and He will make your paths straight!"
Sarah R = "If we don't trust God, it is likely that our view of Him is too small. We don't understand how great and mighty and all-powerful He is. We see Him in human terms and through human eyes. If we were to truly grasp how awesome is our God, we would have no problem placing our lives in His hands."
Cary W = "Our trust becomes firm and fear flies away when we focus on the Sovereignty of God, that He is faithfully in control of all things and beings. We can actually relax into the peace of knowing God will give us all we need exactly when we need it, at all times, no exceptions."
Cary W = "We know nothing really. There are 10 million bits of information coming at us every second, yet our awareness at any moment might grant us view of 5 bits of that data. That is why we must trust in God and never lean upon our own perceptions or judgments. God knows and will let us in on the crucial details of our part."
Cary W = "Each morning I arise, the first thing I do is commit my ways to the Lord, ask that His will be manifest in all my steps, and I would hear His counsel and guidance and that He would glorify His name in this day, through me."
