I do not think it is wrong to recognize, study or even display the Ten Commandments. But, it is important to make sure our focus is on the law of the Spirit that set us free from the law of sin and death. Unfortunately many people still use the law, and other piled on rules, as a checklist for successful Christian living with the inevitable consequences of guilt and defeat. But Romans 7 clearly explains that we have been set free from the law. We have died to the law so that we can live according to the Spirit. “Likewise, my brothers, you also have died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to him who has been raised from the dead, in order that we may bear fruit for God. For while we were living in the flesh, our sinful passions, aroused by the law, were at work in our members to bear fruit for death. But now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code.” – Romans 7:4-6 See source article here: http://www.beforethecross.com/biblical-teachings/are-christians-under-the-ten-commandments/
