Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. ✞ Jesus did not say "I know the way to Heaven", He said "I am the way". He did not say "I know the truth or where you can find it", He said He is the truth Himself. He did not say I know where you can find eternal life, He said He is the life. It's not possible for anyone to say that Jesus was just an ordinary man, because He claimed to be the very source of life Himself.  Romans 5:8 ~ But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Why did Christ have to die for us? Because the scriptures declares all men as sinful since the fall. Jesus was the only perfect sacrifice, able to pay for all of mankind sin. To sin means to miss the mark. Romans [3:23](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRaTVXasqcU&t=3m23s) ~ for all have sinned and fall short of the glory(perfect holiness/Standard) of God. Because of our sin we are unable to live in the presence of a perfect God. Our sin has separated us from God, and because God is perfect in Holiness, He cannot dwell in the presence of sin, because He is righteous and full of Justice, He has no choice but to Judge the sins that man has committed. It is not possible for Him to just overlook our sins, for then He would have to deny His very nature. Therefore, according to God, sin must be paid for. We ourselves know this, that is why we have a court system. If sin didn't exist, there would be no need for courts and judges, and its because of sins that we convict and send people to jail. But see here, we ourselves are not innocent of sin, and this is the reason that we all will one day stand before God, the righteous Judge, and have to account for our sins.  Hebrews [9:27](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRaTVXasqcU&t=9m27s). ~ And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Romans [6:23](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRaTVXasqcU&t=6m23s) ~ For the wages of sin is death(Eternal separation from God/Hell/Lake of Fire); but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Luke 13:5 ~ (Jesus Said) I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. So, it comes down to the question, how can you receive eternal life, which is only found in Jesus? How can you be saved from the day of Judgement, when God has to Judge your sin?    Many try to earn heaven by good deeds, that is only like trying to bribe a Judge, to overlook the fact that they are guilty. The fact that you did good works does not get rid of the fact that you are a sinner, guilty of the crime of sin. Then, if there is nothing that we can do to save ourselves, what is the only hope of escaping hell then?  I repeat this verse: Romans [6:23](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRaTVXasqcU&t=6m23s) ~ For the wages of sin is death (Eternal separation from God/Hell/Lake of Fire); but the "gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Ephesians 2:8-9 ~ For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Yes, salvation is not earned, it is a given gift from God, a gift of grace. Grace is something you don't deserve, but God is kind enough to give it to you anyway, and that gift of grace was His son Jesus Christ. Jesus came to take our place, and our sentence of death, meant for us. He took our death and instead gave us the Eternal Life within Himself.  Romans 5:8 ~ But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. John [3:14](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRaTVXasqcU&t=3m14s)-15 ~ And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have "eternal life." The Bible declares that if we believe in what Christ did for us, we will be given Christ's everlasting life.  John [3:16](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRaTVXasqcU&t=3m16s)-17 ~ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. When the Angel Gabriel declared to Joseph the name of the child to be born to Mary, he declared the very reason for Him to be born.  Matthew [1:20](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRaTVXasqcU&t=1m20s)-21 ~ But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus (Yeshua), for "He will save His people from their sins.” Acts [4:12](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRaTVXasqcU&t=4m12s) ~ Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Romans 10:9-10 ~  that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. There is no other way to everlasting life. Jesus said "I am the way", because He is the way. He is the only one that could, and did bare the penalty of our sins on the cross all upon Himself. If it wasn't for the cross, we wouldn't even be able understand and see just how much God loves us. On that day.. we were there.. we spat on His face, ridiculed Him, plucked His beard out, lashed His back, placed a crown of sharp thorns on His Head, He was was innocent, yet we made His flesh as torn as we could, He was unrecognizable. We made Him carry the heavy cross to Calvary to be pierced for our transgressions, even though we were the ones guilty, He did that for me and you. God loved us so much that He took it all for us, the sentence that we deserved. He paid the price for us, the price of death for our sin, and He finished His work, when He said "it is finished!". He is the one who was sent to the grave for us, He is the one that took our well deserved place, He took our punishment upon Himself, to make us righteous before God Himself. And then the power of God raised Him from the dead on the third day, because death could not hold Him down! And He did ascend up on High to take His rightful place at the right Hand of the Father, from where He will return, not as savior next time, but this time as the Judge of the world, and those that are His will also be given glorified bodies, that is the power of the resurrection! Friends, will you be found guilty when you stand before God? There is only one way to get right with Him, and that way is to accept God's gift of salvation, through His son's sacrifice at the cross. It is a terrible thing to have to stand before God and be found guilty. It is time that you meet God at the cross. If you have never confessed Jesus as your Lord, or called upon Him for salvation, turn and speak to God. Confess Him as your Lord, ask Him for forgiveness of your sins, repent from your heart for how you have been living without Him. Thank Him for what He has done for you, for sending His son to take your place on the cross, for His gift of salvation. Ask Him to come into your heart and give you everlasting life, surrender your life to Christ, turn from a life of sin and selfishness, trust Him, rely on Him, live for Him, He loves you, you are His, be born-again. John 14:6 ~ Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. People, Its not just about believing in God. It's not about just believing that He lived, died, and resurrected on the third day, satan and his demons know and believe that too. It's about relying on Him completely. It's about putting Him first in your life. It's about surrendering your life to Him, walking with Him, talking to Him, praying to Him, it's about putting your whole trust in Him. Its about picking up your cross and denying yourself daily, it's about living for the one that died for you. It's about being Born Again! Rejoice in the Lord.   Romans [1:16](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRaTVXasqcU&t=1m16s)-18 ~ For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; John 1:1-5~ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. John [1:14](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRaTVXasqcU&t=1m14s)-18~ And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. John [3:16](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRaTVXasqcU&t=3m16s)-18~ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:3 ~Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
